Rita Klein

September 18, 1926 — April 6, 2017

Rita Klein, of Neenah, passed away peacefully at ThedaCare Neenah on April 6, 2017, surrounded by her family. Rita was born September 18, 1926 in Milwaukee. She attended Alverno College, graduating in 1948 with her nursing degree. Rita was a dedicated nurse, caregiver, and teacher all her life. She completed her career at Fox Valley Technical College teaching Health Occupations.

She married Jack Klein on June 27, 1953 and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2008. They were blessed with two sons, Tom and Peter. Rita was a wonderful hostess and held many gatherings for her family and friends throughout the years, and valued her faith.

She is survived by her sons: Tom Klein and Peter (Julie) Klein and their daughters: Laura (Josh Reinl) Klein and Jessica (Matthew) Anderson and great-grandson Henry Anderson. She is further survived by sister-in-law Mary (Fitz) Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held for Rita on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 439 Washington Avenue, Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. A memorial fund will be established in Rita's name.

Rita's family wishes to thank the staff of Island Shores, Neenah, as well as the staffs of ThedaCare Neenah and ThedaCare Hospice for the loving care given to Rita.
