Little Chute
Age 54, passed away on Friday morning, November 24, 2006 at his home after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. He was born on May 1, 1952 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Dorothy (Breuer) Willer and the late Harvey Willer. Rick was a graduate of Appleton East High School. In 1971 he married Georgia Stoehr, and they had two children together. On April 14, 1979 he married Patricia Smith and they also had two children together. They have shared 27 wonderful years of marriage. Rick was a sales manager for Tri City Glass in Appleton. He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and an officer and past president of NARI. Rick was an avid Packer fan, and enjoyed Science Fiction books, playing chess, and getting beat in tennis by his son.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Patricia; his children: Derrick (Sharmini Jesuthasan) Willer, Chicago; Erik Van Weddigen, Appleton; Ayron (Kaustubh) Zoal, Madison; Tiffany Willer, Milwaukee; Cassie (Travis) Rusche, Honolulu, Hawaii; grandchildren: Graysen Riehl, Ian Rusche, Sarin Zoal. He is further survived by his mother, Dorothy Willer; brother, David Willer, Appleton; sister, Nancy Willer, Appleton; and his former wife, Georgia Schumacher.
A memorial service for Rick will be held on Monday, November 27, 2006 at 6:00 P.M. at First Congregational United Church of Christ (724 East South River Street) with the Rev. Jane M. Anderson officiating. Friends may call at the church from 5 P.M. until the time of the service. Memorials in Rick’s name may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, California 90401.
The family would like to thank Nancy Willer for arranging Rick’s benefit, and also his co-workers at Tri City Glass for their friendship and continued support.
