Richard L. Zimmer

Richard L. Zimmer passed away on November 25, 2023, in the Memory Care at Oak Park Place, Menasha, WI. He was born on January 21, 1933, in Springfield, IL, the son of Loren and Mildred Zimmer. He graduated from Lanphier High School, Spfld, IL in 1945.  He served in the army from 1953 to 1954.  On Sept. 15, 1956, he married Janet L. Kinner of Springfield, IL at the Douglas Avenue Methodist Church in Springfield, IL. He attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City from 1960 to 1964 earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education.  In 1965 he began teaching  band and orchestra in the Mt. Horeb Public Schools and retired in 1989. He is survived by his wife, Janet, Menasha, WI, his son, Eric (Sheila) of Appleton, WI, a sister-in-law, Joyce Cranfill of Smithton, MO, and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be  given to your favorite charity.
