Age 60, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 4, 2003. He was born on May 5, 1943 in Appleton, son of the late Norman and Mary (Singler) Zanzig. On June 13, 1964, he married Jean Barta at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. They enjoyed 39 years together.

Dick is survived by his wife, Jean; children: Jill (Roy) Clark and their children Jack and Seth, all of Appleton; Patrick (Lisa) Zanzig and their children Jenna and Alison, all of Appleton; Michael (Tricia) Zanzig and their child Ethan, all of Neenah; Jeffrey (Jill) Zanzig and their child Benjamin, all Appleton; brothers: Bill (Pat) Zanzig of Appleton, Jack (Alba) Zanzig of New York; Peter Zanzig of California, and Tom Zanzig of Madison; sisters: Mary Sue (Frank) Zboralske of California and Ann Zanzig of Madison.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father-in-law, Marion and Maurice Barta.

The funeral liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2003, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Nunn and Dr. Barkmeier for their special care of Dick.
