Richard R. Larson

Richard “Rick” Larson, 77, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 23, 1947, to his parents Roy and Madge (Schwellenbach) Larson.

Rick was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He went to trade school for welding and fabrication. He thrived and excelled in his career and was proud of his work. His last 25 years of employment were at Fox Cities Crane and Fab. in Appleton. He met his wife Susan in 1987, and they were married in 1988.

Rick had a lot of interests, first and foremost was food, then reading and playing pickle ball; he especially enjoyed spending time with Susan. They loved to dance and go to musicals. He learned to love ballroom dancing when they became empty nesters. They loved to travel, both for mission work and for pleasure. He loved spending time with his family and his quick wit and humor brought life and joy to many circumstances.

Rick and Susan truly loved their church family. Rick’s personal relationship with Jesus not only redeemed his own life but his interests and relationships with others. His love for the Word grew with each year and his dedication to the Lord overflowed into his interactions with others.

Rick is survived by his wife Susan, children Kim (Ric) Mauch, Tiffany Larson, Anthony (Jodi) Consiglio, Yvette (Chris) Procter, Michael (Heidi) Consiglio, Carrie Consiglio, Paul Consiglio, David (Kelsey) Consiglio, Rachel (Rob) Cote and their families including 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and brothers Larry (Marge) Larson and Mark Suprenand.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike Larson.

There will be a Memorial service on February 13, 2025, at Breakthrough Covenant Church at 215 E Washington St. Appleton WI 54911. The visitation will be from 9-11am with the service starting at 11am. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton at 2pm.
