Richard "Emmett" Hollenback

Richard (Emmett) Hollenback of Shawano, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020. He was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on November 20, 1953. He graduated from Xavier High School, class of 1972. He earned his degree in Special Education at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. He later transitioned into sales where his love of people and customer care really shined.

He married his wife Kathy (Hoffman) on October 1, 1993. He moved to Shawano after the marriage, where he and Kathy affectionately renovated and restored an old farmhouse.  Emmett enjoyed history, films, and music. He was a lover of football who described himself as a “rabid Green Bay Packer fan”. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a great appreciation for nature.

He is survived by spouse, Kathy Hollenback, children David Hollenback, Rikki (John) Ray, Veronica Gipp, and Frances Rylee Hollenback.  He is also survived by grandchildren Anthony and Zachery Hollenback, Maddalynn Bennett, and Elijah, Xavier, and Noa Ray.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic the family has chosen not to hold funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
