Age 80, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2001. Dick was born in Manitowoc on May 11, 1921. He received his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and was employed as a design engineer at Kimberly Clark Corporation for over thirty years. On November 8, 1947, he married the former Joy Isberg in Ashland, Wisconsin; she survives. During his time with Kimberly Clark, he received his Professional Engineer's license in New York. He retired in 1981. Dick was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed golfing, winter sports, fishing, and carpentry. He very much enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Taylor Lake and his winter retreat in Texas. He also traveled extensively and was proud to have climbed Mount Whitney. Dick also enjoyed reading western novels and watching classic western movies. Dick was a member of the ECKANKAR clergy.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years: Joy Frick of Neenah; a daughter: Cheryl (Tom) Seeley of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren: Tami (Greg) Jones, Shelly (Al) Burger, Lisa Smith, and T.J. (Christina) Seeley; and by four great-grandchildren: Jessica Dettman, Stephen Dettman, Eric Arnold, and Andraya Genskow. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother John ''Wendell'' Frick.
Memorial services for Dick will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2001 at the funeral home chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of the service.
