Richard E. Maxymek

Age 56, passed away peacefully with his family in Appleton. Rick was born January 20, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Chester and Rosemary (Murphy) Maxymek. Rick worked as a computer scientist for most of his life, but was also a passionate philosopher and mathematician. He was also very generous towards his loved ones, friends and many organizations. Rick was a warm and courageous man. He loved to challenge the people in his life to constantly think above and beyond. He inspired us all intellectually.

Rick is lovingly survived by his brother, Tom (Max) and Ellen Maxymek of Appleton; nieces: Kathleen (Dan) Verhagen of Darboy and their children: Megan and T.J., Jodi Maxymek of Crystal, MN. and her children: Jordan and Alexandr; and Sara (Paul) Weidner of Crivitz and their children: Parker, Mariah and Lily.

A funeral service for Rick will be held at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
