Age 9 days, infant son of Richard Jr. and Stacy (Krieg) Fischer died Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Ricky battled through four heart surgeries to repair various congenital birth defects of his heart before succumbing to these conditions. He will be sadly missed by all of those who had a chance to know him
Ricky is survived by his loving parents, Rick and Stacy Fischer; grandparents, Richard (Sharon) Fischer and Dan (Mindy) Krieg; two aunts, Laura Fischer and Sara Krieg; and uncle Dan Krieg. He will also be greatly missed by great grandparents, Syl (Jane) Fischer, Bob (Marge) King, Daniel (Sylvia) Krieg and Clifford (Ailene) Premeau; great great grandmother, Viola Premeau; many special great aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 19, 2001 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton with Pastor Mark Weiss officiating. Friends and family will be received on Monday at the FUNERAL HOME from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established to help offset the many medical expenses that were incurred.
The family would like to thank family and friends for all of the prayers and love during this very difficult time.
The families greatly appreciate all of the efforts of the surgical team and the nurses at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for their care and compassion during this time.
