Age 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 21, 2006. He was born in Wilmington, DE on July 28, 1937, the son of the late William and Ellen (Andrews) Hare. On October 25, 1973 he married Mary Theabo in Las Vegas, NV. Richard loved cars and competitively raced with many Corvettes and a 1969 Camaro. He worked for "Old Cars Weekly," a publication from Iola, WI. Richard loved the Packers. He will be remembered for being a very loving husband and father to his family.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary; his children: Andy (Kim) Hare, Scott (Rita) Hare, Michele (Edward) Havlovic, Eileen Hare, Chris (Joan) Hare and Patrick (Jennifer) Hare; 12 grandchildren; brothers: Bill (Marie) Hare and Jerry Hare; sister, Joan (William) Rowe; and his in-laws: Earl and Elaine Theabo. He is preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida St, Menasha, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
