Rev. Paul James Reinhold

Rev. Paul James Reinhold, age 89, of Appleton, passed away on April 16, 2022, surrounded by his wife and family. Paul was born on November 4, 1932 in Richwood, West Virginia to Grover Cleveland and Viola (Russell) Reinhold. He was a graduate of Richwood High School and later attended West Virginia Wesleyan College and Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. He served his country as a member of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War as a Chaplain. 

On May 17, 1953 he married Levora Seabolt and they enjoyed over 68 years together. He enjoyed reading and travel with his wife and best friends, Dave and Jackie Kruse. They were able to travel all over the world. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time in nature.

He served as Pastor of numerous churches over the years. His career started in Franksville, Wisconsin, ended in Appleton, and included Hawaii, West Virginia, and California. He retired from First United Methodist Church in Appleton.

He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife, Levora of Appleton, 3 children: Sheila (Michael) Flynn of Green Bay, Paul (Anne) Reinhold of Racine and Rob (Sandy “Sam”) Reinhold of Hudson, Wisconsin. They were blessed with 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Funeral Services for Paul will be on Friday April 22, 2022 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church, 325 E. Franklin Street in Appleton with Rev Dave Farina officiating. There will be a gathering preceding the funeral service at the church from 10:00am to 11:00am. Interment will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

Paul would want everyone to know that no matter what obstacles or challenges you face in life, everything will be OK.

In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
