Rebecca “Becky” M. Shinabargar, age 70, of Kaukauna, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. She was born on January 24, 1945 to the late Russell A. and Mabel M. (Harness) Grinnell in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Becky retired from Appleton Medical Center after 27 years working in Health Information Medical Records, during which time she made many close friends. She loved to play bingo and truly enjoyed visits to craft/antique shows. Cooking was a passion of hers and she always enjoyed bringing dessert, especially Pumpkin Log Rolls! She was also known for being very neat and tidy, it wasn't uncommon for her to take a vacation just to clean. She put herself second and always cared for and talked about her children and adoring grandchildren.
She is survived by her two loving children, Tim (Melissa) Shinabargar and Lisa (Brian) Van De Leygraaf; five grandchildren, Alex and Jenna Shinabargar; Jaxson, Madalyn and Hudson Van De Leygraaf. She is further survived by her two sisters, Connie (Nick) Nedry and Linda Grinnell.
The memorial service for Becky will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at FAITH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1025 Tullar Road, Neenah with the Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Becky's name. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Lewandowski, Dr. Jack Swanson and the entire staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice for all the wonderful care given to Becky. They would also like to thank their extended family and friends for all the love and support they gave.
