Age 76, died on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Parkside Care Center. Raymond was born in Milwaukee on May 19, 1927, the son of the late Louin and Faye (Davis) Nash. He was later adopted by the late Raymond and Alma (Becker) Timmer. Ray married Cecilia Frankard on March 7, 1947. She preceded him in death on June 18, 1996. Ray loyally served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed with Wisconsin Bell for 35 years, retiring in 1983. Ray was a proud member of the American Legion, Post 0413; the Pioneers Club; Appleton Elk’s Club for 25 years; and the Lion’s Club. He loved woodworking and even built his own cottage. Ray also enjoyed painting and computers. He is survived by his five children: Dolores (Gerry) Gramins, Menomonee Falls; Roger (Cheryl) Timmer, Hortonville; Jean (Anthony) Rakun, Eden Prarie, MN; Nancy (Joel) Piepenburg and Carol (Earl) Brooker, all of Appleton; brother: Wayne Nash, Gulfport, MS; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and cousin Joyce (Tim) Wenzel, Princeton, MN. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Dave Habermas officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, January 31 from 5 until 7:45 p.m. The entombment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
