Ray Renier
of Appleton
Age 88, died, Tuesday, May 2, 2000
in Appleton. Ray was born October 18, 1911, the son of the late Victor and Ida Renier. He served in the National Guard in the mid 1930s. In 1937 Ray married Helen Potter in Appleton. Ray was employed at Kimberly Clark for 40 years, retiring as Safety Coordinator. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America for 75 years. Ray was also employed at Reid Memorial Golf Course, the Wisconsin Council of Safety and the AARP. He was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying baseball. Survivors include his wife, Helen, a son, Rob (Karen) Renier; three daughters: Sherry (Jack) Schievelbein, RaeJean (George) Arno, and Vicki (Stan) Tadych; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Denise) Renier, Nick Renier, Kathy (Brad) Thomas, Scott Schievelbein, Dave Arno, Kris Arno, Marcia (John) Ladd, John Tadych and fiancee, Stacy School; three great grandchildren: Zachary Renier, McKenzie and Cassidy Ladd. Ray was preceded in death by his in-laws, Emil and Mabel (Potter) Rehfeldt; Helen's parents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2000, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Chris Lee-Thompson officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. In liue of flowers a memorial fund has been establshied in Ray's name.
