Age 93, died among loving family at St. Paul Home on Sunday, September 9, 2001. Raymond was born to the late Anna (Hammen) and George Williamsen in Little Chute, Wisconsin. On June 18, 1929, he married Jeanette Rettler at St. Joseph Catholic Church. They celebrated 72 years marriage. For over 50 years Raymond was employed at Gloudeman and Gage Department Store. Raymond was a God fearing man and enjoyed many activities such as woodworking, bowling, and golf. Raymond is survived by his wife, Jeanette; daughter, Mary Ellen (Robert) Bergman; 5 grandchildren, James Bergman, Sandy (Kirk) Nichols, Shari (Greg) Anderson, Daniel (Nancy) Petersen, and Margie (Tom) White; 10 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Luke, Sam, Lily, Colleen, Patrick, Jackie, Jason, Jon, and Joe; and son-in-law, Kenneth (Donna) Petersen. Raymond is preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Petersen. The funeral liturgy will be at 12:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 12, 2001, at SAINT PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 West Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. Vander Steeg officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at St. Paul Home for all of their care.
