Raymond A.J. Schroeder, 87, of Menasha passed away on Thursday April 1, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born on 24 August, 1933 at Zittau, Winnebago Co, Wisconsin to John and Anita (Bartel) Schroeder. Ray served in the U.S. Army, from 1954- 1956 with an honorable discharge. He was united in marriage to Janet Lee Crosby on June 22, 1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Menasha. Ray retired as a truck driver after 43 years with Central Paper Products, Menasha. He loved fishing, camping, and in his younger days riding his motorcycle with the Fox Valley Riders of which he was a founding member.
Ray is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet. They have 3 children: Peggy Buhr, Cynthia (John) Tinsley, and Raymond (Denise) Schroeder, as well as 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister Donna Rohr, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Emogene (Jim) Bushman, and brother-in-law Richard Rohr.
There will be a private funeral service at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Menasha on June 26, 2021 at 1pm. A Celebration of Life for Ray will be held the same day from 2pm to 4pm at the Stone Toad Bar & Grill, 1109 Oneida St, Menasha.
