Raymond A Huntley

Raymond Huntley, 54, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011 after a brief respiratory illness at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Ray was born on December 5, 1956 to Robert and Carlene (Abel) Huntley in Appleton. Ray worked at Appleton Medical Center as a respiratory therapist from 1979 until 1995 when he started working in the sleep lab at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He loved sports, especially fantasy football and also going to the casino. Ray was a dedicated and loving person devoting his time and energy to take care of others especially his patients, his family and his parents. Most of all his family was most important to him and the time Ray spent with them will always be cherished.

Ray is survived by two children; Lucas (Nicole) Huntley, Laura (Brian) Heyndrickx, four grandchildren; Kailyn and Owen Huntley and Ella Raye and Rylan Heyndrickx, his wife; Laurie, brothers and sisters; Steve Huntley, Diane (Charlie) Nickols, Jim (Lynn) Huntley, Mike (Wendy) Huntley, Louanne (Pat) Keohane, a “sister” Rachel (Courtney) Franzen, a good friend and uncle Tom (Colleen) Abel, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents.

A prayer service for Ray will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at ST MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH (312 South State St. Appleton) at 10:30 AM with Sr. Joann Goessl OSF officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
