Ramona Jean Caraballo

Appleton – Ramona (Gill) Caraballo, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at her home. She was born on November 5, 1949, to Hjalmar and Merle (Fischer) Gill. Ramona graduated from Appleton High School in 1967. She attended Fox Valley Technical College receiving an associate of arts degree in pulp and paper chemical technology. She also received another associate of arts degree, laboratory science, in recent years. Ramona worked at James River Paper Company (Georgia Pacific) for many years as a lab technician/researcher. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of time in northern Wisconsin with family and friends working and playing on their family land. She loved flowers, gardening, pottery, and was an avid sewer and quilter.

Ramona is also survived by a son: Luis (Sherrine) Caraballo, and grandchildren: Zachary and Gabriella Caraballo, all of Burleson, TX; a son, Juan Caraballo, and grandchildren: Anthony, Owen, and Macy Caraballo, all of Appleton; a sister: Christine Wagner; niece: Rebecca Crown, and her children: Nathan and Collin Crown; as well as many special friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Raymond Wagner.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the Appleton Highland Memorial Park Chapel, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Visitation will be Thursday at the Chapel from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.

She was a gentle soul and will be missed dearly. Rest in Peace and God Bless!
