Age 85, died Thursday evening, March 28, 2002of Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born September 21, 1916, to the late Albert and Elizabeth (Reichert) Deuster, in Milwaukee. Ralph served with the United States Air Force during WW II. He retired in 1972, after 30 years of service to the Internal Revenue Service. Ralph was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus #607 and the Oney Johnston-Edward Blessman American Legion Post #38. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. (Vandenboom) Deuster, to whom he had been married for 61 years; a sister-in-law, Helen Nelson, DePere, and her family; a sister-in-law, Alice Vandenboom, Racine; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Carl and Roman Deuster. The funeral liturgy for Ralph will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, with Father Gerald R. Falk officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church from 9:30 am, Wednesday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
