Rachel Jendrzejak, age 92, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 28, 2014. She was born on October 17, 1922, in Michigamme, Michigan, to the late Armose and Lillian (Larmour) LaBine. On June 15, 1940, Rachel married Leo Jendrzejak in Michigan. Over the years, they enjoyed the many friends they made while owning the Shamrock Bar on Cloverleaf Lakes. Prior to her husband's death in 1990, they relocated to Appleton. Rachel was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, and volunteered at the Salvation Army. She looked forward to the activities and the friendships she made at the John Fischer Manor.
Rachel is survived by her daughter, Dellin (significant other Landria Hughley) Cook of Appleton; grandchildren: Kristofer (Amy) Cook, Sam (Christen) Cook, and Stefanie Cook; great grandchildren: Cameron, Coral, Caitlyn, Carys, Coryn, Caden, and Iris; brother, Budd (Shirley) LaBine of Michigan and sister-in-law, Alma Rowell of Abrams. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rachel was preceded in death by her brothers, Medrich, Herbert, Willard, and Martin; sisters, Dellin, Fern, and Reatha.
The funeral service for Rachel will be held at 3:30 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida Street, Menasha. Fr. Bill Hoffman will be officiating. Entombment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Shawano. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
