Phyllis Ann Boldig, 87, passed away on September 23, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 19, 1937, in Belle Plaine, Wisconsin to Dewey and Florence (Pahlow) Bartz.
Phyllis graduated from Shawano High School and became a clerk at the Shawano Courthouse. On October 19, 1957, she married her beloved husband, Franklin “Bud” Boldig, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano.
Phyllis had a spirit that thrived on creativity and shared her passions with those she loved. She was an accomplished craftswoman, often found reupholstering furniture or creating exquisite ceramics in her home kiln. Her talents also extended to teaching piano lessons, an endeavor she approached with patience and joy. An avid birdwatcher, she cherished her time observing nature and spent many afternoons raising finches and enjoying the beauty they brought into her life.
Throughout her life, Phyllis extended her love through handmade gifts of quilting and crocheting for her friends and family. She was a true dog lover, having owned pets most of her life, and also had an exceptional green thumb. Phyllis devoted herself to her church community at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she actively participated in Bible class, the prayer chain, and the community table.
