Philip L. ‘Stub’ Dennis
Of Neenah
Age 61, died Thursday, July 10, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Stub was born on January 28, 1942 in Appleton, WI to the late Thorton ‘Duke’ and Ella (Kemp) Dennis. He was a 1960 graduate of Neenah High School. He proudly served 4 years in the United States Air Force. When he returned to Neenah he married Jo McNeil on August 20, 1966. He loved hunting, golfing, bowling, playing cribbage and sheepshead. He was an avid Nascar fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and the Packers.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Dennis, Neenah; daughter, Cori Dennis, Neenah; son, Kevin (Barbara) Dennis, Neenah; his two little treasures: granddaughter, Megan Dennis and grandson Jacob Dennis of Neenah; one brother, Wayne (Fay) Dennis, Neenah; three sisters: Linda (Rick) Saegert, Winneconne, Sandy Neuber, Neenah, and Diane Dennis, Janesville; father and mother-in-law, William and Margaret McNeil, Neenah; in-laws: Judy (Gord) Diedrich, Neenah, Karen (Gib) Buser, Neenah, William (Ginny) McNeil, Neenah, special friend, Adeline Bright, Appleton, special neighbor, Alice Dordel. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Dennis and sister Donna Dennis.
The family would like to thank everyone who donated blood, in helping to keep Stub alive for a longer time. We would also like to thank Laura Tucker for the help and concern she has given us.
Stub’s wishes were to be cremated and private graveside services will be held at a later time. A memorial fund is being established in his name.
He will be truly missed and always remembered for his courage and sense of humor. He will be in our hearts forever.
