Philip B. Foxgrover

February 15, 1949 — November 30, 2001

Age 52, passed away peacefully at his home on November 29, 2001. Phil was born in Appleton on February 15, 1949, son of the late Norman “Butch” Foxgrover and Phyllis Foxgrover Slattery of Kaukauna. He was a graduate of Kaukauna High School and attended Carroll College in Waukesha. Phil served the village of Kimberly as a police officer for a time, and was employed by Sunrise Savings in Green Bay from 1972 until 1989. After North Shore Bank acquired that firm, Phil stayed on and attained the position of Assistant Vice President of Mortgage Lending. He was active with the Neighborhood Housing Services of Green Bay, the Fiserv Data Center’s Mortgage Task Force, was a Director and Past President of the Institute of Financial Education, and was the Charter President and Past Director of the Crime Prevention Association of Brown County. Philip was a person of many interests and talents, who especially enjoyed music and cars. He was devoted to his Lord and Savior, his family, and his work. A generous and loving person, Philip will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother and step-father: Phyllis Foxgrover Slattery and Leo Slattery of Kaukauna; two brothers: Norm Foxgrover of Appleton and David (Marsha) Foxgrover of Batavia, Illinois; a sister-in-law: Donna Foxgrover of Appleton; four nieces and a nephew: Lori (Todd) Keating, Kari (Steve) McDonald, Craig Foxgrover, Sara Foxgrover, and Amy Foxgrover. He is further survived by numerous aunts and uncles. Phil was preceded in death by his father, Norman “Butch” Foxgrover.

A memorial service for Phil will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 3, 2001 at IMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 510 Sullivan Avenue in Kaukauna with Rev. Nelson Craig and Rev. David Foxgrover officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at the church on Monday following the service.
