Betley, Peter V. Jr.
Neenah
Pete joined his family in heaven on August 12, 2006 after he lost a courageous battle to cancer. He was born March 8, 1941 to Peter A. and Victoria T.(nee Revolinski) Betley. He grew up, went to school and got married in Milwaukee, where he lived and worked for 34 years. He was employed by Thiele Sausage, Michels Pipe Line and owned and operated the Sand Piper Inn. Pete was a perfectionist in all that he did. He remodeled his own home as well as the homes of many friends and his own family. He was lovingly known as “Wall Paper Wally”. If Pete did it, you knew it would be done right. He prided himself in the fact that he never called a repair person. His yard was manicured to the 9’s. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with Jim and Aaron, go on cruises with the Capt’n and the gang and do Karaoke, singin’ Tiny Bubbles. He loved to play Sheepshead (it was all about winning) he only needed a nickel even if he was playing for quarters. His greatest lifetime achievement was “his girls”. He’d about bust his buttons when talking about them or his incredible grandson Aaron. Pete was a kind, caring, loving and generous person. This is a very sad day, Pete will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pete is survived by his wife of 47 years Beverly, Daughters Kathleen (Jim) Lorrigan, Skiatook, Oklahoma, Barbara (Terry) Janous, Campbellsport, Grandson Aaron Lorrigan and his friend Jennifer, Ashburn, Virginia, and the other kids Madaam Mirjana & Dan Goymerac, Appleton, Sister, Adeline (Robert) Guss, Oconomowoc, Brothers, Jerome Betley Milwaukee, Kenneth (Elissa) Betley, Milwaukee Sister-in-law Judy (Rich) Sedita, LaMirada, CA, many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. May you fly away to the heavens on the wings of Angels and land in the lap of God (with no pit stops). Until we meet again, you’ll be in our hearts.
