Peter J. Somers

Our beloved brother, Peter sadly left us and entered the eternal life with God to join his father Peter, mother Mary, and brother Marty. Peter was born in 1958 and left us in 2024.  

Peter loved spending time with his family and extended family at Agape 7. He was an avid baseball player, participated in the Special Olympics and loved to bowl as well. 

Peter shared many talents, but his special talent was making people smile. He was always happy and loved giving hugs and kisses. He was the apple in his family’s eyes. Peter touched many lives, especially his friend Betty.  

Peter will be missed by many, especially his surviving siblings Nancy (Bill) Preston, Harriet (Randy) Eick, Adrian (Jenni) Somers, David (Joy Marcus) Somers, Maria (Bruce White) Somers and Lisa (Eric Bigelow) Hartjes. Peter also loved and will be missed by all his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  

Our family would love to extend our gratitude to the staff at Ascension NE Wisconsin- St. Elizabeth Campus for the care they gave Peter during the time he was there. We would also like to thank the VPI Community Day Center and Community Care.  

We cannot express our appreciation enough for the staff at Agape 7. Their love and care for Peter throughout the years and during his time of passing has meant so much to all of us. Thank you with all our hearts!  

Funeral Mass for Peter will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish (600 East Kimberly Ave. Kimberly, WI 54136) on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 am, with visitation time from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery.
