Pauline Buss, age 102 of Appleton, was called home to her Lord on September 22,2024. Pauline was born September 21, 1922, in the town of Osborne, one of eleven children born to the late John and Louise (Dalke) Krueger. In 1939 she married Kenneth Buss; he preceded her in death in 2004.
Pauline spent most of her working life in supermarkets. Pauline and Ken owned stores in Appleton and Embarrass. Later they sold the Embarrass store and moved back to Appleton where she was employed by the Red Owl for many years.
She enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds, braiding rugs, making teddy bears, and donating whatever she could for the annual bazaar at St. Paul Church in Appleton. The family also owned a cottage at Jenk’s Channel in Suamico, and she enjoyed time there with family and friends.
Pauline is survived by a daughter: Paula (Richard) Juedes; two grandchildren: Jill (Alan) Snell and James Lindmair; one great-grandson: William Siegworth; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Jacquelyn “Jackie” Lindmair, and all of her brothers and sisters.
The funeral service for Pauline will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday. October 2, 2024. At Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, located at 3009 N. Meade Street in Appleton, with Rev. Kemp Jones officiating. She will be placed at rest with her husband Ken at Highland Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be directed to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
