Paulette Bauer of New London, age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday September 7, 2017 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. She was born August 24, 1944 in Burlington, WI to Paul and Ruby Shoemann. Paulette was joined in marriage to Gary “Skip” Bauer on October 16, 1970 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Paulette was a professional cake decorator and also enjoyed baking, canning, sewing, fishing, being outdoors and camping. Paulette was most happy though when she was goofing around with her family and time spent in Florida.
Paulette is the loving wife of the late Gary “Skip”; dear mother of William (Cindy) of Readfield, JoEll (Allen) Oberstadt of Fremont, Stacey (Johnny) Suprise of New London, Timothy (Jeanean) of New London and Grigg (Heather) of New London. Cherished grandmother of Beth (Happy), Will (Sarah), Josh (Brielle), Denise (Jake), Eric, Sean (Marissa), Kendall, Mason, Aidan, Molly, Emma, Declan (Gloria) and Shea (Shannon). Dear great grandmother of Zach, Connor, Blake, Madison, Aden, Jaxton, Adam, Micheala and expected Baby Suprise and Baby Bauer. Dear sister of Sharon (the late Nolan) Stelzner, Mary (the late Butch) Lewandowski, Vicki (Milton) Groth, Kathy (Don) Cornish, Gina (the late Dennis) Eichorn, Jan (Steven) Keller, Diane (Gary) Klopp, Chuck, Paula Jean (Dave), Karen (Melvin) Tesch, Christine (Henry) Smith, Janet Barnhardt and Judy (Todd) Rego. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Paulette is preceded in death by her husband Skip and her parents Paul and Ruby.
A memorial service for Paulette will be held on Saturday September 16th at 12 Noon at Immanuel Lutheran Church (9077 North Road Fremont WI) in Zittau, Wisconsin with Pastor Mark Kinney officiating. Memorial visitation from 9:00 AM until time of service. Private inurnment. Memorials for the purchase of kitchen equipment for the MacArthur Residence Hall at the King Veteran’s Home are appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at King Veteran’s Home and the residents of MacArthur Hall for their care of Paulette.
