Paul R Rudloff, age 69, of Appleton passed away at Country Villa on Wednesday November 15, 2023.
Paul was born on September 12, 1954 in Appleton, the son of the late Harold and Eunice (Buss) Rudloff.
Paul had a love for theater, starting in high school at Appleton West where he performed in "Dracula" also in the unforgettable "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". After he graduated in 1973 from Appleton West High School he went on to attend UW-Stevens Point. After college he moved to Westfield, WI where he continued with theater and became an actor with the Coloma Players. In 1984 he served as the director for many of their plays. He served as Vice President and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Coloma Players. He also directed a few plays for the Portage Area Community Theater.
Paul was an avid coin collector and also had a love for antiques. He enjoyed spending time in Florida with friends and family. He loved to socialize and spend time getting to know people. He and his best friend spent many days taking road trips and going to baseball games. He also liked playing a hand or 2 of cribbage. He was always the life of the party ready with a joke or witty comment.
Paul moved to Lake County, Il where he lived for several years. He was co-owner of the Hardware Store Bar in Grayslake, Il where he sharpened his joke telling skills. He loved plants and enjoyed spending time outside. He also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places.
He is survived by his son and family, his twin sister Pam Nault and her special friend Jim Boyle of Appleton. Nieces and nephews, Nicole (Carl) Sanderfoot and family of Appleton, Chris (Brenda) Nault and family of Hudson, WI, Michele Rudloff and family of Green Bay, WI, Anthony Rudloff and family of Green Bay, WI, and Doniele (Donald) Ridgeway and family of Green Bay, WI, many great nieces and nephews, his previous wife, Joy, and he is also survived by the mother of his son.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard, sister-in-law Ann, brother-in-law Noel (Nault) and also aunts and uncles and a great-niece. A special thanks to Matt LaPierre, a great friend to Paul, who was a constant in his life up to the very end. Also Thank you to the staff at Country Villa and Hospice Compassus Care staff.
Funeral services will be on Friday, December 1st at 12 noon at Wichmanns Funeral Home 537 N. Superior St in Appleton, with Pastor Tom Mielke officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10am until the time of the service.
