Paul “Mick” Kamps

Age 73, died on Sunday, January 20, 2002 at Colony Oaks Care Center. Paul was born on November 20, 1928 in Appleton, son of the late Gebhard and Margaret (Maurer) Kamps. He was very proud of his time spent as Brother Dominic of the Capuchin Order, serving six years in Detroit and Wausau. Paul will be greatly missed by his three sisters, Elizabeth (Victor) Schmidt, Sun Prairie; Ruth (Kenneth) Stier, Menasha; Ethel (Robert) O’Brien, Neenah; and his two brothers, John (Mary) Kamps, Clearwater, Florida; and William (Alice) Kamps, Beaver Dam. Paul is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Louise (George) Walter; Margaret (John) Marx; and his brothers, Robert (Gloria) and Frank (Veronica) Kamps. The Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, January 26, 2002 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. John Holly, OFM Cap. officiating. The inurnment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church following the service.
