Appleton – Paul A. Nickasch, 54, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah. He was born on November 8, 1966, the son of Dwain and Bette Jane (Blahnik) Nickasch. Paul enjoyed fishing with his father and going hunting. He especially loved laying in the hammock, and sleeping on the porch at the cottage on Lake Poygan. He was employed with JJ Plank for 35 years as a machinist. In his younger years, he enjoyed hard rock music and even sang in a band called Better Left. Paul was united in marriage to Lynette Porterfield on August 8, 1987, at Homestead Meadows, Appleton. He loved his dogs, especially Cindy.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lynette; two daughters: Cassandra and Alicia Nickasch; four siblings: Jayne (Rick) Skibba, Thomas (Jacki) Spilman, Rev. Dee (Bruce) Sim, Lori (Ken) Dollevoet; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Paul on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the Stone Toad, 1109 Oneida Street in Menasha. Beer and beverages will be available. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
