Paul A. Inman

June 20, 1938 — August 30, 2024

Paul A. Inman

Paul Allan Inman, age 86 of Appleton, Wisconsin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 30, 2024, after a battle with dementia. Paul was born to Paul and Emma Inman on June 20, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a successful accountant, avid baseball fan (go Brewers!), wannabe professional bowler, and enthusiastic model railroader. Most important to him, though, was his family.

Greeting him in heaven are his parents, Paul, and Emma Inman. They loved their only son with much devotion and were a steadfast presence in Pauly’s family gatherings for all the years they were alive. From their famous, large family gathering every Christmas Eve to backyard, chicken barbeques complete with games of jarts, they were loyal with their love and support. Polkas and German foods and traditions were the centerpiece of many Lieber gatherings, and it is with joy that we imagine they are all in heaven having a BIG family celebration as they welcome Paul home to the members of the clan that have passed before him.

The members of his family that are left behind in grief, but so relieved that he is in a better place, include his wife and companion for 63 years, Kathy. Along with Kathy, his three children Lisa Smith (Todd), Rich Inman (Mindy Brown), and Steve Inman (Robin) will miss his dry sense of humor and astute observation of situations. His calm and steady presence helped allay most any situation and crisis. The people who called him grampy are his grandchildren Emily Imler (Jared), Trevor Smith, and Cailin Inman. Strong memories have been created of playing games and watching him quietly win with slyness and wit. Welcoming him into heaven are some of his favorite pets Mikey and Sofia. We hope he can play with and walk them with new spring in his step.

A funeral service for Paul will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County, located at 1592 Oneida Street in Fox Crossing. Deacon Don Schultz will officiate and Paul will be placed to rest at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
