Age 72, died Tuesday, September 23, 2003, following a long bout with cancer. He was born November 10, 1930, to the late Frank and Minnie (Tesch) Bruesewitz, in Unity, Wisconsin and moved to Appleton in 1950. Paul married Mary C. Hopfensperger on October 15, 1951, in Sherwood. He was drafted into the U. S. Army, December of 1951 and served during the Korean Conflict and was discharged, September 4, 1953. Paul was employed by P. G. Miron Construction Company, for 43 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Bruesewitz; four children, Marie Bruesewitz and her special friend, Bruce Schramm, Weyauwega; Michael (JoAnn) Bruesewitz, West Bloomfield; Diane (Joel) Hietpas, Greenville; LeRoy Bruesewitz and his special friend, Laurie Wilber, Pine River, WI; 11 grandchildren, Joe Bruesewitz, Tim Bruesewitz, Dan (Deb) Voelker, Chris Kleist, Mary Kleist, Andy Kleist, Jeremy and Matt Bruesewitz, Jon, Suzanne and Jodi Hietpas; three great grandchildren, Michael Bruesewitz, Eden Voelker and Brynn Buchholz; a daughter-in-law, Linda Bruesewitz, Weyauwega; two sisters, Pauline Tallman, Washington and Hulda Stevenson, Little Rock Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Erika Bruesewitz, Appleton; Frieda Bruesewitz, Milwaukee; many nieces and nephews and a special niece, Cheryl Wendler. He was preceded in death by his son, David Bruesewitz and a grandson, David Bruesewitz, Jr., a sister, Norma Belongie, five brothers, Martin Bruesewitz, Ervin Bruesewitz, Melvin Bruesewitz, William Bruesewitz and Arthur Bruesewitz. Funeral service for Paul will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 26, 2003, at ST. MATTHEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 South Mason Street, with Reverend Jeffrey Verbeke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 pm, Thursday and at the church from 10:00 am, Friday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
