Patricia Marie Vandehey

Patricia M. Vandehey, 91, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Oakridge Gardens due to natural causes. 

Pat was born in Kimberly, Wisconsin on February 4th, 1932, the daughter of the late Andrew and Gertrude (Busch) DeLeeuw.  

She was a graduate of Kimberly High School, and on January 20, 1953, married her longtime sweetheart, Jim Vandehey at Holy Name Church in Kimberly.  

Pat was a dedicated wife and mother whose life was committed to giving all she could to family and friends and was loved by all who knew her. She was an avid sports fan for all Wisconsin teams with Kimberly High School being most important to her. 

Pat is survived by her six children Tim (Pat) Vandehey of North Prairie; Lynn (Rick) Boyer of Kaukauna; Cathy (Jim) Diermeier of Greenville; Lee (Lisa) Vandehey of Plover, Rob (Becki) Vandehey of Fox Crossing; and Mike (Maria) Vandehey of Hartford. There are twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild, in-laws Tom (Jean) Vandehey of Kimberly, Lois (Loren) Rohloff of Greenville, Joyce (Dick Lardinois) Williams of Appleton, and Susan (Larry) Navarrete of Darboy.  

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Bill, her husband Jim, brothers Andrew “Bud” (Joan) DeLeeuw Jr., Jim DeLeeuw, Joe (Stella) DeLeeuw, John (Vi) DeLeeuw, Chris (Adeline) DeLeeuw, sisters Margaret (Bob) Willis, Helen (Bob) Anholzer, Katie (John) Van Beek, Mary (Earl) Deeg, Audrey (Bill) Hopsfensperger, in-laws Herman and Ethel Vandehey, Joan (Cliff) Sanderfoot, Peter Vandehey, Diane Nienhaus.  

The funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Holy Spirit Parish, 600 East Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Carl Schmitt officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. 

The family would like to extend thanks to Kim, Pete and Suzie at Oakridge Gardens Memory Care Unit, Melissa with Moments Hospice and Lindsay with Community Care.  

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions towards a memorial bench in honor of Jim and Pat and their love for our local sports teams!
