Patricia Mae Sengstock (Senecal), age 83, passed willingly and lovingly into the arms of the Lord with the love and support of her sons and their families along with dear friend Carol Steenis by her side, on Sunday December 30th, 2018. Pat was born on December 20th, 1935 to William and Mamie (Laurent) Senecal in Kimberly, WI. She graduated from Kimberly High School with honors in 1954. Pat married Carl Sengstock on May 4th 1957. They have been married for over 61 years and had five sons.
Pat was the CEO of her home and worked at Fox Valley Technical College until she retired in 1997. Pat loved to travel with Carl, visiting all corners of the country, but was always excited to come home to Appleton to spend time with family and friends. Pat spent many hours creating works of art through her passion for cross stitching, making afghans, quilting, ceramics and tending to her flowers and plants. Pat never met a weed she didn’t love (to pull).
Pat was a devoted wife, a compassionate and loving mother and grandmother. She led her life guided by a set of core values around honesty, respect and caring for everyone she interacted with, and kept this with her all the way to the end.
Pat will be greatly missed by her husband Carl, children Gregory and Paula, Jeffrey and Linda, Russel, Dean and Jodi and grandchildren Justin, Courtney and Matt Lombardi, Alexander, Blake, Ella, Jackie and Jake Jansen, Janelle Gosz, great grandchildren, Lawson, Bo and Emmarie, and sister Barbara Powers, along with many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in glory by her parents, son Randal Sengstock, brother William (Louis) Senecal, sisters Laverne (Ken) Thurk, Leone (Lee) Skowen, Marciel (Mel) Frahm and nieces Brenda Wood (Sengstock) god daughter, Karen Thurk, Lori Krueger and nephew Danny Thurk.
Per Pat’s request, a private Funeral Liturgy was held at St. Bernards Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Leary, O.F.M. Cap. officiating.
The family would like to thank all her caregivers at ThedaCare Regional Hospital- Appleton especially Kim, Randy and Paige for their special care and support.
Condolences can be sent to the family through www.wichmannfargo.com. In lieu of flowers or gifts donations are requested to be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Pat. A memorial fund has been established and donations can be made at http://giftfunds.stjude.org/patriciasengstock.
