Patricia M. Kokke

Age 74, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 11, 2004 from cancer. Patricia was born on January 2, 1930, daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Schreiter) Melcher. Pat was a graduate of the Kimberly High School and on August 16, 1949 married Frank Kokke; he preceded her in death in June of this year. Pat worked for twenty-seven years at Van Thull’s Bakery in Kimberly and also volunteered at St. Joseph’s Food Pantry, the Community Clothes Closet, Holy Name School, and at the Holy Name Parish Center. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Holy Name Parish in Kimberly – a real woman of faith.

Pat is survived by three sons: Bill (Fae) Kokke of Fresno, California and their daughters Samantha and Kimberly ; Randy (Sue) Kokke of Petaluma, California and their daughters Jennifer and Amy; Tony Kokke of Menasha and his children Jeff, Greg, and Andrea; two sisters: Shirley Moors of Appleton and Laverne Salash of Mission, Kansas; a daughter-in-law: Bonnie Bell of Oxford, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Frank Kokke and by an infant son Jeffrey.

Pat stated, “I want to thank everyone so much for their hours and hours of help which I couldn’t have done without. You were my guardian angels – each of you!”

At Pat’s request there will be no viewing or visitation, and a private funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Pat’s name.

Pat will always be remembered as a faith-filled servant of God, and as the most loving, kind, and strong wife, mother, and friend that anyone could want.

The family would like to thank the many people and guardian angels who helped in our time of need with your prayers, loving care, well wishes, gifts of food, time, and support throughout our journey. We would like to offer a very special thank you to mom’s hospice nurse, Paul Halbach for his tender, loving care and support. He was a gift from God during our very trying times.
