Patricia C. ""Patsy"" Van Grinsven

Patricia “Patsy” C. Van Grinsven, 82, of Kaukauna, passed away on Thursday March 25, 2021.  She was born on October 2, 1938, the daughter of Joseph and Kitsy (Kavanaugh) Gertz.  Patsy was a lifelong resident of Kaukauna, who was married to her high school sweetheart, Donald Van Grinsven, for 63 years.  She was an avid sports fan, often choosing to watch ESPN while drinking her morning coffee.  She shared her love of sports with her children and grandchildren, along with many silly riddles and stories…and there were many.  Patsy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and was known for making everyone feel like they were her “favorite”.   Her fun-loving, faith filled spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Donald Van Grinsven.  (5) Children: Mark (Karie), John (MaryJo), Tom (Jane), Mary (Steve), Jane (Matt).   (16) Grandchildren: Michael (Jaclyn), Alan, Emily, Nicole, Danielle, Christiana, Jacob, Jeffrey, Patrick, Maggie, Danny, Michael, Matt, Kristin (Ryan), Thomas, and Jack.  (3) Great-Grandchildren: Mason, Rylan, and Emma and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter Madeline, and her siblings, Robert (Bobby) and Jeanne.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 29, 2021 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church (309 Desnoyer St, Kaukauna, WI 54130)   Fr. Don Everts will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Monday March 29, 2021 from 10:00 am until the hour of service at the church.    Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.   You may also join the service via Livestream by visiting this site on the morning of the service.
