Patricia "Pat" Bodde

Patricia “Pat” Bodde, age 72, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, after a lengthy battle with several illnesses.  Pat was born on March 16, 1952, in Kaukauna, WI, daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Grissman) Van Stiphout.  After graduating from Kaukauna High School, Pat held down several jobs including bartender, cheese factory worker, and wrapper at the paper mill. 

Pat was with Dan Menting and raised one daughter before his passing in 1998.  Pat was blessed to find love again when she met Ken Bodde.  The two wed on June 6, 1992, at St. Mary Catholic Church.  

Pat enjoyed baking and cooking and was well known for her apple pie.  The more sugar, the better! To keep her hands busy, she would do crossword puzzles and crocheted blankets.  Even though the blankets were not always even, every stitch was made with love. Playing slot machines was also a favorite of hers. Pat and Ken enjoyed spending time up north near Arm Strong Creek.  There they could relax in nature and watch the animals.  On the weekends, Pat would drag Ken to rummage sales, flea markets and auctions.  Ken never complained.

She is survived by her husband: Ken Bodde; daughter: Kelly Van Stiphout; and grandson: Trevor (Bethany Voelker) Van Stiphout and their children Penelope and Olivander. She is further survived by her siblings: Bonnie (Don) Martins, Denis (Sandy) Van Stiphout, and Jim (Cheryl) Van Stiphout; stepdaughter: Jackie Bodde and her daughter and son, Riayn and Eli; and a special friend: Joan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sisters Donna and Judy.

The service for Pat will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 West Wisconsin Ave. Kaukauna.  Visitation will take place from 3:00 pm until a time of sharing at 5:00 pm.  

Pat’s family would like to thank all the doctors and kind nurses at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton for the excellent care Pat received.
