Age 53, went to be with her Lord, Saturday morning, March 22, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 18, 1949, to Henry I. And Dorothy H. (McCabe) Vander Loop, in the Town of VandenBroek and had been an area resident all of her life. Pat had been employed by Joseph’s Shoes for 10 years and by Vander Loop Shoes for several years. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and spoiling her grandchildren. Pat was a member of the Ott Home Fellowship of Appleton and attended Christ the Rock. Survivors include her husband, John D. Hartl, whom she married on July 16, 1968; a son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Millie Hartl, Little Chute; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Matt Brittnacher, Kaukauna; four grandchildren, Allyse Brittnacher, McKaela, Elyssa and Benjamin Hartl; her mother, Dorothy H. (McCabe) Vander Loop, Kaukauna; eight brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Angela Vander Loop, Kaukauna; Joseph and Rosemary Vander Loop, Winneconne; Dick and Nan Vander Loop, Kaukauna; Gary and Mary Vander Loop, Kaukauna; Mike and Janet Vander Loop, Kaukauna; Tim and Bonnie Vander Loop, Little Chute; Tom and Sue Vander Loop, Combined Locks; Jim and Sherry Vander Loop, Kaukauna; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ann Swanningson, Kaukauna; Betty and Russ Natrop, Kaukauna; Judy and Ruben Schley, Appleton; Peggy and Nick Popp, Combined Locks; and a special friend, Robin Rosin, Kaukauna. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry I. Vander Loop and a brother-in-law, Bob Swanningson. Funeral services for Patricia will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at 1:30 pm, at CHRIST THE ROCK, W6254 Highway 10-110, Menasha, with Reverend Bill Lenz and Reverend Jim Duffy officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 am Wednesday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established in Patricia’s name.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Anthony W. Phillips and the staff of the Appleton Medical Center, Oncology Department.
