Patricia A. Cherf

Patricia “Pat” Cherf, age 84 of Greenville passed away on September 13, 2023 at her residence under the care of Compassus Hospice and Senior Helpers.  

She was born at home on October 31st, 1938, in West Allis, WI to Frank and Helen (Cheslak) Steffel.  After her father passed, she moved to Antigo, WI with her mother when she was 8 years old.  She graduated from Antigo High School in 1956.  Pat worked at the Public Service prior to marrying the late Richard “Dick” Cherf on January 16th, 1960 at St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church in Antigo.  Throughout her married life, she held various jobs, but especially enjoyed raising her 2 children.  Pat is survived by her daughter, Julie Cherf in Greenville, WI, son, Robert ``Bob” (Laura) Cherf, Evans, GA, and granddaughter, Jamie Cherf in Redding, CA. Dear sister of the late Marilyn Steffel and the late Deloris Neuwirth. She was also preceded in death by many sisters- and brothers- in-law.

The funeral liturgy for Pat will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, located at N2385 Municipal Drive in Greenville.  Fr. Michael Warden will officiating and burial will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo.  Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday morning beginning at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ronald McDonald House, 8948 Watertown Plank Road, Milwaukee, WI 53226  and  Antigo Public Library  - APL Foundation, 617 Clermont Street, Antigo, WI 54409 would be appreciated.
