Parker William Schultz, a 98-year resident of Appleton “went on to glory” on Saturday, September 6, 2014.
Parker will be sadly missed, yet joyfully loved and remembered by his family: wife: Ruth Schultz of Appleton; three children: Parker (Debbie) Schultz, Jr. of the state of Washington; Pamela (Larry) Miller of the state of Washington; and Paula (Dan) Minkebige of Waupaca; four loving grandchildren: Peter (Leah) Schultz, Shellie (Francisco) Santillan, Lawren Miller, and Melisa Miller; a great-granddaughter: Naomi Schultz; a sister: Shirley Haase of Wausau; a brother-in-law: Bill Yentz of Green Lake; and a sister-in-law: Marilyn Leonhardt of the state of Washington. Parker was preceded in death by his parents William and Rose Schultz, his step-mother Elizabeth, and a sister Vivian Murphy.
Parker loved golf, family fishing trips, backyard picnics, and steering the boat while his children water skied at Waupaca's Chain O' Lakes.
He answered his country's call to war in 1941, and safely returned home from Germany is 1945 as a Tech Sergeant. Parker went on to work as a switchboard operator for Wisconsin – Michigan Power Company, and retired as a supervisor in 1981, following 45 years of service.
