Pamela Jean Van Rooy, age 72 of Appleton, WI passed away after a short illness on March 14, 2024, surrounded by her family. Pam was born on September 18, 1951 in Appleton, WI to Lawrence and Patricia (Kavaney) Van Rooy.
Pam was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. She was quite the go-getter and was always learning something new. Pam was well-educated and practiced as a nurse practitioner. She was known especially for her dedication and compassion to her many clients at the Free Clinic, Indian Reservation, etc. Pam enjoyed gardening, singing, writing, painting, and drawing when she could in her free time. She always cheered for the Packers whenever they played. Pam loved being a grandmother and cherished every moment she had with her grandkids.
Pam is survived by her children, Phil (Paula) Bellis, Luke (Tina) Bellis, Patricia (Matthew) Hager, and Savanna Bellis; her grandchildren, Jackson, Alayna, Beau, Kira, Talon, Scarlett, and John; her siblings, Barb (Jim) Thiel, Connie Walbrun, Susie (Jerry) Wollersheim, Debra (Randy) Cook, Patrick (Kari) Van Rooy, Michael (Debbie) Van Rooy, Tony (Laura) Van Rooy, Julie (Jim) Schweckler, and Polly Schommer; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Patricia Van Rooy; her brother-in-law, Gary Schommer; and her former husband, Bud Bellis.
A memorial visitation will be held for Pam from 4:30 – 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton, WI 54911 with a time of sharing to follow at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
