Owen Lee Sonsthagen

Kimberly – Owen Lee Sonsthagen, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023. Owen was born on January 18, 1930, in Sheboygan, WI to Walter and Verna (Stentz) Sonsthagen.

Owen enlisted in the Army in 1948 and served with the United States Constabulary during the Cold War in occupied Germany and during the Korean War. He was very proud of his service.

In 1972 Owen started Sonsthagen’s Painting and Decorating business based in Menasha, WI. He was an honorary member of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. He was extremely proud of his craftmanship and dedication to providing quality services to his clients.

Owen was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Verna Sonsthagen, brothers, Irving and Richard Sonsthagen, sisters, June Sonsthagen (Albrecht) and Dorothy Sonsthagen (Slapnick). Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Instead of a formal service, we hope that family and friends reminisce about the “good old days” and raise a toast of your choice to his very long and fortunate journey on earth.
