OWEN G. KRUEGER
Appleton
Age 70, died Saturday, December 15, 2001. He was born December 28, 1930 to the late Mabel (Sawall) and Ben Krueger in the Town of Center. Owen married the former Joan Rockwell on June 23, 1951 in Sturgeon Bay. He was a longtime member and usher at Mt. Olive Ev. Lutheran Church. Owen served on the Variance Board in Grand Chute, retired from the Foremost Division of Wisconsin Dairy’s, worked part-time at the VFW and driving semi for V/S Midwest Carriers. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and motorcycling. Owen loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Krueger; two daughters, Paula (Mike) Verbruggen and Cindy Diedrick; his son, Mark Krueger; six grandchildren, Jon Verbruggen, Dana Verbruggen, Tim (Trina) Diedrick, Tom (Sadie) Diedrick, Travis Diedrick and Troy Diedrick; one great granddaughter, Taylor Diedrick. He will also be greatly missed by a sister, Fern (George) Baerwald; a brother, Grant (Dorothy) Krueger and a nephew, Scott Krueger.
His son in law, David Diedrick preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at MOUNT OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 East Florida Avenue. Viewing and visitation will be TUESDAY from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the FUNERAL HOME and again on WEDNESDAY at CHURCH from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
A memorial has been established in Owen’s name.
