Age 75, died Thursday, September 20, 2001, at Palatka, Florida. Orville was born to the late Walter and Ella (Steinberg) Steinbach on August 11, 1926, at his parent’s home in Greenville. He married Doris Schroeder on May 26, 1951, in Appleton. She preceded him in death, in Florida, on November 10, 1993. He later married Virginia Kroner on November 29, 1997, in Orlando, Florida. She also preceded him in death on
August 14, 1999. Orville spent much of his life farming in Greenville. While he was living there Orville served as a member of the Civic Club. In 1977 he retired from farming and moved to Florida where he bought and managed the Happy Holiday Motel in Daytona Beach. Orville was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Keystone Heights, Florida, and served in many roles such as church council and building committees. Through owning the motel, he had the opportunity to travel and make many friends throughout the world. Orville is survived by two sons, Roger (Kathy) Steinbach, Shiocton; Jerald (Donna) Steinbach, Benton, Tennessee; two sisters, Alice Kirchner, Menasha; Orla Jacob, Waupaca; and 7 grandchildren. He is further survived by a very special friend, Patricia Parrish, Deland, Florida, whose help and friendship was very dear to him and his family. Other survivers include 3 stepchildren, John (Anita) Kroner, Florida; Virginia (Glen) Martin, Florida; Kathy (Gerard) Pickhardt, Florida ; and stepgrandchildren. Orville is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Steinbach, who died in Appleton in 1963. He is also preceded in death by one brother and one sister, who both died at birth. A funeral service will be on Thursday, September 27, 2001, 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Stafford officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 26, 2001, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park following the service at 1:30 p.m. A memorial fund is being established.
