ROHDE, ORLIN NEIL

Friday, October 10th, Orlin's co-pilot took over the controls of his plane, and safely delivered him to his eternal home. After a difficult, but blessing-filled bout with cancer, Orlin is safe in his Savior's arms. He was met on his arrival by his beloved mother, May (Schewe) Rohde, and his dear brother, Glenn Rohde.

During his life, Orlin enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most of all, aviation. Now in his new life he can enjoy singing praises to his Lord.

His wife, Connie (Winters) Rohde, and his children, Crystal (Dean) Aerts, Nicole Rohde, and Nathan Rohde wish to thank all their friends and family for the infinite prayers that were sent to our heavenly Father on Orlin's behalf. He is also survived by his father, Elmer Rohde of Marion, his sisters, Cheri (Dennis) Paisar of Appleton and Rhonda Suehring of Tigerton; sister-in-law, Kathy Rohde of Wausau; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Beverly Winters of Freedom; sister-in-law, Cathy (Mark) DeDeker of Larsen; brother-in-law, Bruce (Lori) Winters of Appleton. Orlin will be further missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and all members of his Christian family, and his Aviation family; without whose support Orlin's passing would be more difficult.

The Christian funeral service for Orlin will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at ST. PETER'S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N2749 French Road, Appleton. The Rev. Tim Glende will be officiating. The interment will take place in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and again at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in his name.
