Opal I. Lebzelter
Age 90
Passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Peabody Manor in Appleton. She was born on December 13, 1912 to Augustine and Madgelena Hewell in Seneca, South Dakota. She graduated from St. Andrews School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN, and worked many years in her profession doing general duty at St. Elizabeth Hospital until her marriage to Paul Lebzelter in 1939. She then did private duty at St. Elizabeth, Theda Clark, and Appleton Medical Center. She later became the Nursing Superviosr at Peabody Manor until her retirement in 1973.
Preceding her in death is her husband in 1972, and her three sisters: Beulah June, Doris Marie and Harriett.
Survivors include nieces, a nephew, cousins, and many friends who have been her ‘family’.
Upon Opal’s request there will be no services held. Interment will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Appleton.
