Norman S. Strandwitz
Appleton
Age 88, died on Saturday, March 3, 2001 at St. Paul Home. Norman was born on April 25, 1912, son of the late William and Dorothy (Trotman) Strandwitz. Following the war, Norman sold the business. He then developed an infant oxygen tent for hospital cribs, which was sold to a nationwide oxygen producing company; National Cylinder Gas, of Chicago. In 1963, he moved from Chicago to Appleton, to join Miller Electric as VP of Marketing. Following retirement in 1978, he moved to Newport Beach, CA for 14 years, returning to Appleton in 1991. Norman is survived by his wife Millie; two sons, Coles Strandwitz, Fairview, PA; Peter Strandwitz, Appleton; a daughter, Peggy King, Redondo Beach, CA; six grandchildren, Emily, Philip and Mitchel Strandwitz, Neenah; Neil Strandwitz, Erie, PA; Elizabeth Strandwitz, Rye, NH; Nicholas Strandwitz, Fairview, PA; four great-grandchildren, Shane and Dan Fogarty, Rye, NH; Rachel and Patrick Strandwitz, Erie, PA.
