Age 84, died on Saturday, May 12, 2001 at his home. Norman was born on May 25, 1916, son of the late August and Albertina (Bruegman) Lietz. He married Margaret Koepsel on June 8, 1940, and they have enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. Norman was an Auto Body Man for 45 years, and was employed at Gibsons and Cloud Buick. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed bowling. Norman will be greatly missed by his wife Margaret; his daughter Virginia (Dennis) Massey, Menasha, and their children Christopher, Craig (Wendy) and Carrie Massey; his brother, Alvin (Vera) Lietz, Appleton; two sisters, Sarah (Paul) Zimmerman, and Ruth (Clarence) Pennings, both of Appleton; and five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Amanda, Tony, Brooklyn and Allison. He is further survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Norman was preceded in death by three brothers, Werner, Fred and Ervin; and four sisters, Clara Meyer, Mabel Broehm, Nathalie Kain and Sylvia Michailis. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at ST. TIMOTHY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 473 7th Street, Menasha, with Rev. John Krueger officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday, May 15 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The family would like to thank the Calumet Medical Center Home Care and Hospice, and the hospice volunteers; especially Kari and Linda, for their loving care of Norman.
