Laedtke, Norma D.
Norma D. Laedtke, age 84, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 10, 2006, in Appleton, at Brewster Village. She was born November 18, 1922, to the late Norman and Bernice (King) Thompson, in Duluth Minnesota. Norma had been a resident of Milwaukee from 1939 –1994, Shawano from 1994 – 2003 and Appleton from 2003. She was a 1940 graduated of Washington High School, Milwaukee and had been employed by Helwig Carbon Products where she retired at age 72, in 1994. Norma was a long time member of Covenant Lutheran Church, Milwaukee and a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano and Faith Lutheran Church, Appleton. Loving wife of Alfred Laedtke, to whom she had been married to for 62 years; loving mother of Donald Laedtke, Waukesha; Joanne (James) Wilson, Appleton; Beverly (Jeffrey) Bansemar, Germantown, WI; Loving grandmother of Ryan (Amy), Greg (Jenny), Resa (John), Matt (Heather), Kristin, Jamie (Ken), Tim (Amy) and Joe; 14 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Laedtke; sisters, Margaret DeClark, California; Catherine Wetter, Milwaukee; sisters-in-law, Delores Thompson, Hale Corners; Delores Laedtke, Shawano; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane and her son Thomas Laedtke, Ann and Edward Thompson, Jack Thompson, Richard Doherty, Amanda and Gordon Schoening, Hilda and Frank Westerfeld, Dorothy Taylor, Fred and Robert Laedtke, Ida and Adolf Reimer. Funeral services for Norma will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 14, 2006, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 East Glendale Avenue, with Reverend Jim Wiebel officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am, Thursday, until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Norma’s name.
