Passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2002. Nora was born October 30, 1915 to Frederick and Anna (Wendt) Forbeck. She was baptized at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church and was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. She graduated from Appleton High School. Nora married Robert W. Nehls August 12, 1942 while he was on furlough from the Army Air Corps. Nora worked at the Aid Association for Lutherans for 41 years, retiring as secretary to the then AAL president, Walter Rugland, in 1979.

She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Wallace Roblee and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, who passed away January 29, 2002, her parents, a brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Marjorie Forbeck, a sister and brother-in-law, Gertrude and Thomas Ryan.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Wichmann Funeral Home (537 N. Superior Street) at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth L. Frey officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service (11:00 a.m.). Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Rennes Health Center for their caring kindness shown to Nora.

Nora will be missed very much. She was a wonderful aunt and we were blessed to have her as part of our lives. She was a truly special beautiful person – very caring, very kind, and a very good listener. We will always love her dearly. Thank you, Nora for being you.
